Phil Georgenson, CPCU - President
Phil has more than 25 years of human resources management and executive/professional recruiting
experience. Prior to founding PMG in 2001 Phil held executive level human resources positions for two large
organizations. Since its founding, PMG has rapidly become a leading search firm due to Phil’s experience
both as an inside corporate recruiter and outside search professional. His commitment to deliver results and
provide outstanding service has earned strong loyalties from a diverse group of clients. His consistent "top
biller" status is driven by the ability to bring leading industry talent to his clients. Phil is a highly respected
national expert in recruiting and talent management and has been a featured speaker at numerous seminars
and conferences on the topic.
Phil is a member of the Pinnacle Society which is an exclusive consortium of the top 75 recruiters in the North
America. Only elite-level executive recruiters meet the stringent production criteria and ethical standards
Phil earned a Business degree from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business. He also
holds multiple designations from the Insurance Institute of America and The Society of Human Resource
Management (SHRM).
Phil is an active member of Pinnacle Society, Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), American
Compensation Association, Human Resources Association of Central Ohio, Ohio Association of Executive
Search Professionals, National Insurance Recruiting Association (NIRA), National Association of Personnel
Services (NAPS) and numerous local professional associations. He has served on the Boards of the Columbus
Chapter of CPCU, Jobs for Columbus Grads (JCG) and other local civic associations.
Phil resides in Dublin, Ohio with his wife Anne.
Michael Georgenson, MBA, CPCU – Vice President
Michael brings nearly 15 years of insurance industry and corporate experience to PMG Employment Consultants. Most recently, he held leadership positions in product management, sales, and underwriting for a super-regional insurance company. He also served as an account executive for a Fortune 500 organization offering connectivity and business solutions to mid-sized and large clients.
Understanding the client’s business environment and its staffing needs is a top priority for Michael. Unlike many executive recruiters, because Michael has vast industry expertise and real world experience he is able to better match the ideal candidate to an opportunity. His professionalism, attention to detail, and responsiveness are unmatched within the industry.
Michael is an active member of the CPCU Society and Columbus CPCU Chapter. He has also served as the Vice President of Education for a local Toastmasters International Club and chaired a successful United Way campaign. Additional volunteer activities include the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Operation Feed, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and tutoring inner-city school children.
Michael has an undergraduate degree in Financial Management from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Franklin University. He also holds the CPCU designation and numerous other insurance designations. He and his wife, Katie, reside in Columbus, Ohio.
Laurie Pomerants - Senior Executive Search Consultant
Prior to joining PMG Employment Consultants, Laurie was a successful sales executive that brings nearly 15
years senior management experience to this position. Her responsibilities in sales and management have
helped to develop a personal brand that showcases a refined communication style, savvy business sense,
and drive to outwork and outperform the competition. Laurie specializes in senior level search and recruiting
assignments for PMG. She has a unique ability to foster strong relationships with both client and candidate.
Plus, her passion for finding elite talent nationwide makes her a valuable asset for any search assignment.
She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University.
Laurie lives in Grandview, Ohio with her husband Alex and three children.
David Georgenson - Senior Organizational Development Consultant
David brings 30 years of management and leadership development experience to his role with PMG. Prior
to joining PMG, David was Director of Field Training and Development for Northwestern Mutual where he
was responsible for sales and leadership development for a field force of 7000 individuals. David has also
worked for leading organizations including Xerox, Citibank and the American Cancer Society where he led key
initiatives in the areas of developing future leaders, improving productivity, and increasing retention. David
once led an initiative that designed and implemented a sales management coaching system that yielded 25%
increase in sales. In addition, he has served as a senior consultant for Development Dimensions International
and Learning International providing Fortune 500 clients with consultation in areas of team building, leadership
and sales development, curriculum design, and competency identification.
David's 25 years of experience has included key positions in managing leadership development activities at the American Cancer Society, Xerox and Citibank. Additionally, he served as a senior consultant for Development Dimensions International and Learning International providing Fortune 500 clients with consulting in team building, curriculum design, competency identification, change implementation, and leadership and sales development.
David attended the University of Rochester where he earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Adult Education and Industrial Psychology. He also attended the Hudson Institute where he earned Coaching Certification. David resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with his wife Christine.
